Gregg is the founding member of The Roberts Law Group with over 25 years of experience in the state and local tax field. He advises clients across a wide variety of industries, with particular expertise in the telecommunications, financial services, e-commerce, sharing economy/online marketplace platforms, and healthcare sectors. Gregg advises clients regarding various tax types, including corporate income and franchise taxes, personal income tax, employment taxes, sales and use taxes, property taxes, and telecommunications taxes.
Gregg’s practice focuses on the resolution of state and local tax controversies in administrative and judicial forums across the United States. Gregg has handled appeals in all fifty states, including substantial experience in California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin as well as in federal district court. In addition to handling tax controversy and litigation, Gregg advises multistate and multinational corporations on the tax ramifications of complex business transactions and corporate restructurings.
Prior to founding the firm, Gregg was a partner in the international law firms Morrison & Foerster LLP and Reed Smith LLP. Gregg is an active participant in the broader state and local tax community. He is a frequent speaker at national and regional tax conferences, including the Paul J. Hartman SALT Forum and a variety of conferences held by the Council on State Taxation.
